How Can I mirror iPhone to PC in Windows 11?

Hi everyone,

I recently got a new Windows 11 PC and I'm trying to mirror my iPhone screen to it. I’ve seen a few apps and methods online, but I’m not sure which one is the best for a seamless experience. I primarily need this for sharing presentations, playing mobile games on a bigger screen, and sometimes recording tutorials.

If anyone has experience with reliable tools or methods to mirror iPhone to PC in Windows 11, I’d love to hear your recommendations. Ideally, I’d prefer something that’s easy to set up, supports high-quality mirroring, and doesn’t cost too much.

Looking forward to your advice and guidance. Thanks in advance!

I have tried using Windows 11's built-in "Wireless Display" feature to mirror iPhone to PC screen before, and I think this method is quite convenient, especially since it is free and easy.

The basic steps are as follows:

    1.  Make sure your iPhone and Windows 11 computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
    2. : Enable the projection function on Windows 11:
    3. Open Settings > System > Project to this PC and select Any available device.
    4. Enable screen mirroring on your iPhone:
Open Control Center and click Screen Mirroring.
Select your Windows 11 computer to connect.
    5.  Start screen mirroring, and you can view the iPhone screen on your computer when it is completed.
    6. Stop projection: Open Control Center on your iPhone and click Stop Mirroring.

I tried this method, and it was actually quite smooth the first time I used it. The setup is also quite simple, and you can basically follow the steps. After the screen is mirrored, the picture is quite smooth when presenting a PPT or playing a game, and the delay is not too large. If you just want to make a simple presentation or record a tutorial, this method is completely sufficient.

However, there are some disadvantages: for example, there may be a small lag when connecting, especially if the network signal is not strong; also, in some cases, the first connection may be slow and you may have to wait a while before it stabilizes. In general, this method is suitable for general needs, but if you need a high-quality video or gaming experience, you may still need to consider other solutions.

  • Mirroring iPhone to a PC can sound super straightforward, but there are definitely some pitfalls you’ll want to avoid based on my own experience. Don't just assume that any screen mirroring software will work with your iPhone. I learned this the hard way when I downloaded a mirroring app that wouldn’t even recognize my phone.

Make sure you choose software that explicitly supports iOS devices. Microsoft’s Your Phone app is actually designed for this purpose, so check it out! It’s all about keeping things in the ecosystem.

Using Microsoft's Your Phone App to mirror iPhone to PC in Windows 11 computer. I found this method super seamless for quickly sharing photos and texting from my PC. Plus, you can see notifications directly on your computer screen! The whole thing took me less than 10 minutes to set up, and it was free, so no complaints here!

    1. Download Your Phone App: If you don’t have it already, just search for "Your Phone" in the Microsoft Store and install it. This app bridges your iPhone and PC.
    2. Set Up Your Phone on iPhone: You’ll also need to install the Link to Windows app on your iPhone from the App Store. Just search for it, install it, and follow the setup prompts to connect.
3Sign In: Make sure you log into the same Microsoft account on both devices. This is key for syncing everything smoothly.
    3. Connect via Wi-Fi: Open the app on your Windows PC and also on your iPhone. Tap “Link your Phone and PC” on your iPhone, and a QR code should pop up on your PC. Scan that bad boy with your iPhone, and you’re golden!
    4. Choose What to Mirror: Once connected, you can choose what you want to mirror—texts, calls, notifications, and even some apps! You can effortlessly drag and drop files between your iPhone and PC too.
  • Using Microsoft’s Your Phone app to mirror iPhone to PC is a slick option, but it does have its downsides. One of the biggest bummers is that the features for iPhones are not as robust as they are for Android devices. Sure, you can get notifications and some messaging – but no full app mirroring like you would with an Android phone. If you just need basic notifications and message management, it’s still a decent tool. Just don't expect full-blown app access like on Android.

By the way. Old software can be temperamental, and nothing ruins a mirroring session faster than outdated apps. I once tried to mirror my phone, only to have constant glitches because my software was behind on updates. Super annoying! Always keep both your iPhone and the mirroring software on your PC updated. For Your Phone, regularly check for updates in the Microsoft Store to get the latest features and fixes.

If you want stable and high-quality screen projection, you can connect your iPhone and PC through QuickTime (Apple's official player), but you need to install some special plug-ins on Windows or use a virtual machine to run MacOS. This method is relatively complicated, but it can achieve good image quality.

    Steps:

    1. Install a MacOS virtual machine on Windows or use some QuickTime-compatible software (because QuickTime does not originally support Windows).
    2. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable.
    3. Open QuickTime and select "New Movie Recording".
    4. Click the small arrow next to the recording interface and select your iPhone as the video source.
    5. In this way, you can see the iPhone screen on your computer.

    My advice:
This method requires some additional settings and software support, which may be a bit troublesome for the first time, but the image quality is relatively stable. If you are not afraid of more configuration work, this method could help you mirror iPhone to computer and provide a higher-quality screen projection experience.

However, if you only use it occasionally to share files or play games, it is recommended that wireless screen projection will be simpler.

Mirroring iPhone to a PC running Windows 11 can be a great way to showcase your phone’s content on a bigger screen, whether it’s for work presentations, gaming, or just sharing photos with friends. Before you get all giddy about mirroring, be sure that your PC meets the necessary requirements for the apps you’re using. Some mirroring software may need a specific version of Windows or certain hardware specs.

Make sure you know how to activate the screen mirroring feature on your iPhone before you connect. Swipe down on the screen (iPhones with Face ID) or up from the bottom (older models) to find Screen Mirroring. I've had moments where I was sitting there waiting for the connection, and all I really needed to do was toggle that option on.

Sometimes your PC's firewall might block the connection. I found this out the hard way when my mirroring app wasn’t letting my iPhone connect. If you’re having issues, you might need to temporarily disable the firewall or add an exception for your mirroring software. Just remember to turn it back on afterward!

To mirror iPhone screen on PC Windows 11, you can actually use the built-in "Wireless Display" feature of Windows without using third-party tools. However, there is a small prerequisite that both your iPhone and PC must support AirPlay and Miracast.

    Simple steps:

    1. Make sure that the PC and iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
    2. On Windows 11:
Open "Settings" > "Apps" > "Optional Features", find and install Wireless Display (if not installed).
Then press Win+K to open the connection menu and see if the PC can be used as a wireless display.
    3. On iPhone:
Pull out the control center directly, click "Screen Mirroring", and select the name of your PC.

If the configuration is correct, you can see the iPhone screen projected on Windows 11! However, this method may have some delays in high frame rates or game scenarios, and is suitable for general demonstrations or tutorial recordings.

If you have particularly high quality requirements, you may still need to use third-party tools,  which supports a smoother and low-latency experience. 😁 Have you tried this method?
