Hindi Phonetic Keyboard Not Suggesting Full Words After July 2025 Windows 11 Update [FIXED NOW]
Hello Microsoft Team,
After installing the July 2025 cumulative updates, the Hindi Phonetic keyboard in Windows 11 stopped providing full word suggestions.
Earlier, when I typed Hindi words in Roman script, the keyboard gave complete suggestions in Devanagari.
Example:
Typing: mook
Earlier suggestion: मूक, मूकता, etc.
Now it only suggests म, or sometimes gives incorrect results.
Recent Updates Installed (as shown in Windows Update)
- 2025-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5062553)
- 2025-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5056579)
Troubleshooting Steps I Have Tried
- Reinstalled the Hindi Phonetic keyboard from Language & Region settings.
- Verified that Basic Typing for Hindi is installed.
- Removed and re-added the Hindi language.
- Restarted the PC after all steps.
- Checked for additional Windows updates – no pending updates found.
- The problem still exists.

They suggested I raise this issue here in the Tech Community so that the product team can track and prioritize a fix.
They also mentioned that a fix might come in a future Patch Tuesday update, but no confirmed timeline is available yet.

Yes, I am facing the same issue after the update. Any idea when this issue might get resolved?

I was also facing the same issue after the recent update. The Hindi Phonetic Keyboard stopped showing suggestions. I uninstalled the last Windows update, and now everything is working fine again. If you're facing the same problem, try removing the latest update — it fixed it for me.

Once uninstall recents quality update and restart PC, it will be fixed
Setting > system > recovery > advanced startup > troubleshoot > uninstall updates > uninstall latest quality update

Uninstalling the latest window update worked for few days. After which windows automatically updated itself. That too, when I had already stopped windows update from services.msc

The key steps to resolve this issue are:
1.Remove recent Windows updates: As suggested in the comments, the best solution seems to be uninstalling the problematic Windows 11 updates that caused the Hindi Phonetic keyboard to stop functioning.
- Open the Settings app and go to Windows Update.
- Click on "Update history" and then "Uninstall updates".
- Look for any recent Windows 11 updates and uninstall them one by one until the Hindi Phonetic keyboard starts working again.2. Check keyboard settings: Ensure the Hindi Phonetic keyboard is still selected as the active input method. You can do this by going to Settings > Time & Language > Language & region
3. Restart your computer: After making the changes, restart your PC to ensure all the settings are applied correctly.
