The floating transparent performance window on your desktop, showing real-time hardware information, is likely being generated by a performance monitoring tool or overlay enabled on your system.

 

Xbox Game Bar Performance Overlay:

  • Windows 10 and 11 include an Xbox Game Bar that has a performance overlay to display real-time CPU, GPU, RAM, and FPS data.
  • Shortcut to toggle: Win + G.
  • If you accidentally enabled the overlay, it may appear as a floating performance window.

How to Disable:

  • Press Win + G to open the Game Bar.
  • Look for the Performance widget and close it by clicking the X in its corner.

How to Disable:

Potential Malware or Rogue Software:
