Firewall Rules Disappear
So, I've setup a ton of outbound rules ... after a few days, of shutting down and logging out ... the outbound rules are now gone. So, I have to go about redoing all the rules, which is a huge pain. ...

Check Permissions: Ensure that the user account you are using has sufficient permissions to modify and save firewall rules.
Restart the Firewall Service: Sometimes, restarting the firewall service can resolve temporary issues.
f you suspect a bug, ensure that you’re running the latest version of your firewall software.
Check for any other security software or configurations that might conflict with the firewall.
Regularly back up your firewall configurations so that you can restore them if they are lost again.
- DouglasG2000Aug 15, 2024Copper ContributorThis is my personal computer, and I just checked my account ... and I'm the only user and I have "administrator" privelages. Not sure how to increase my permissions beyond that.
Doesn't restarting the computer effectively restart the firewall server? Is there another way? (It's not really an application that has a close button, and I hesitate to force quit and possibly cause other issues)
Windows is fully updated (This is the Windows Firewall).
I use Windows security features, and no others at this time ... so nothing is competing....
How do you backup your firewall rule settings? There's no option in the menu that I can see.... (this is certainly something that I WANT to do ... but it still doesn't solve the issue)
