Fingerprint reader ?

For W11 Home user using a Desktop with cable connection.

Hi. I have seen that you may need to have a Windows 11 account to use fingerprint reader. I don't want an account as it is playing hell with me logging into websites. Google keeps asking me for a pin instead of just looking at the saved passwords.

Also would this also apply to facial recognition?

Has the same issue but no way to turn off the prompt unless you are using an old version.

To use a fingerprint reader with Windows Hello, you need to have a Microsoft account or a local account set up on your Windows 11 device. If you're using a local account, you can still set up a fingerprint reader, but it must be configured through Windows Hello.
