File History has stopped functioning

After updating Windows 10 to KB5126657 and Windows 11 to KB5127648, I can find and run the backup drive in "File History," but the last copy date of the files hasn't changed. I'm going crazy!
I had the same problem. File History would stop after about 1 mn without any error message and nothing was written on disk. I excluded folders one at a time until File History started working again. One folder had file names which were too long or had an invalid character
