Feedback on Windows 11
Windows 11 is the worst performing Microsoft OS since Windows 95a. I have had nothing but issues since being forced to update my work laptop due to failing hardware and having no choice except Windows 11 for the OS on the new laptop. I have done all of the "tweaking" and customization that are supposed to help, but it still vastly underperforms in comparison to Windows 10 on inferior (and failing) hardware. It is so bad I wanted to continue using the old laptop and just make sure I check in my code changes frequently enough that I wouldn't "lose much" if/when that hardware finally dies. Since Windows 10 is not supported going forward I was not allowed that option. I absolutely would not use Windows 11 if I were given a choice and, unless it significantly improves the next time my work laptop has to be replaced it will be with a MacBook (which my employer does support). My personal computer was similarly negatively affected by "upgrading" to Windows 11 and now performs so poorly that I will likely replace it, and if/when I do it will not be with a computer running Windows 11. I would rather switch to Linux or MacOS than continue using Windows 11 in either a personal or professional capacity.
