Instead of using a Microsoft Account (MSA), you can create a Local Account during the Windows 11 setup process. This will allow you to choose a full username, unlike with MSA.
I am aware of the bypasses that can be implemented to get full usernames without MSA. The above is a feature request from Microsoft to implement in Windows 11.
