Fan running at full speed non-stop on Windows 11 PC
My Windows 11 PC's fans have been running at full speed non-stop, even when idle with no heavy programs open, and the system remains loud and warm constantly. I have already checked task manager for background processes, updated my drivers, and adjusted power settings, but nothing seems to calm the fans down.

If it is a Lenovo Laptop, I believe the system requires the "Lenovo Notebook ITS Service" which regulates the temperature. This is a service and runs in the background as LNBITSSve.exe
A full-speed fan while Task Manager looks idle usually means firmware sees a temperature, sensor, or power condition that Windows does not show. Check CPU, GPU, and storage temperatures with the computer manufacturer’s diagnostic utility, then run its hardware scan. If temperatures are high, shut down and inspect vents, dust, fan operation, and heatsink seating.
Update BIOS or UEFI, chipset, graphics, and thermal-management packages from the manufacturer. Record firmware settings, load BIOS defaults, select Balanced power mode, and compare behavior after a clean boot.
If the fan reaches maximum immediately after power-on or stays there inside BIOS setup, Windows is not causing it. That points to firmware, a failed temperature sensor, the controller, or cooling hardware. Do not force a lower speed with third-party tools before checking temperatures, because that can conceal overheating. If temperatures are unsafe or diagnostics report a sensor error, stop testing and arrange hardware service.
