Does installing Windows 11 24H2 reset customizations in Windows?
I'm running Windows 11 Enterprise, 23H2, build 22631.4751. Unfortunately, it seems that Windows has downloaded 24H2 on my computer. I have managed to delay installation of this update using Pause up...
No, once Windows 11 24H2 is downloaded, you cannot permanently prevent its installation. Pausing updates only delays it temporarily. Major updates like 24H2 may reset some customizations, so it's recommended to back up your settings and files before proceeding. If you're on Enterprise, consider using Group Policy or WSUS to manage updates more effectively.
Just a note about the Group Policy Editor, it us only available on Windows Pro, it is not available on the Windows Home version.
