Devices that appear in Device Manager but do not exist physically

You’re seeing network-adapter and Bluetooth entries that do not match recognized hardware and want to remove them without destabilizing Windows. Device Manager can retain non-present devices from earlier connections; software can also create logical devices, so an unfamiliar name alone is not proof it is safe to delete. First create a restore point. Open Device Manager, select View > Show hidden devices, and inspect each suspect entry’s Properties. Check Device status, Driver Provider, Hardware Ids, and whether the icon is faded. Leave system enumerators and software adapters alone. For a confirmed non-present device you no longer use, right-click it, choose Uninstall device, then restart Windows. Do not delete its driver package unless you have confirmed no current device uses that package. If it returns, Windows or its driver/application is recreating it; identify that source or ask the PC manufacturer before removing anything else.
