Desperate cry for help regarding Spotlight desktop photos
Can anyone tell me how to stop Windows 11 Spotlight from changing the desktop background photo? This has gone from a mild announce to absolute, full-blown lunacy. I have tried every single way I could find on the internet and the thing will not just maintain a solid background color. A nice boring gray is all I want but instead it's hummingbirds and puppies. Please help!
Thank you.

I understand how frustrating it can be when Windows 11 Spotlight keeps changing your desktop background to random images, despite your preference for a solid color. Fortunately, there are straightforward ways to stop Spotlight from changing your background and set a consistent, boring gray or any solid color you prefer.

Excellent, care to tell me what they are?

If you want a completely static background with no chance of changing back to Spotlight, setting a solid color and disabling Spotlight via Group Policy or Registry usually does the trick.

Believe it or not, I've tried that. It's completely disabled in group policy yet, still happneing.
