Desktop Icons keeps refreshing

As what the title says, desktop icons keeps refreshing. Other than that everything seems to function as it is (tried to do some work and a bit of game).


also tried:

  • updating gpu
  • changing powerplans
  • sfc scannow
  • chckdsk
  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  • In-place windows update (reinstall).
  • disabling event
ON a loop from THISTO THIS, and its just keeps refreshing

    Starting Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs can help identify if background programs are interfering:

    1. Type msconfig in the Run dialog (Win + R) and press Enter.
    2. Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, and click Disable all.
    3. Then go to the Startup tab and select Open Task Manager. Disable all startup items.
    4. Restart your computer and see if the issue persists.
