If you want to create an Asahi bootable USB on Windows 11, Rufus is a simple and easy-to-use tool that can help you quickly create a bootable disk. This method is suitable for users who don’t want to mess around with the command line, and the operation is also very intuitive.
What you need to prepare:
- A 16GB or larger USB flash drive (USB 3.0 is recommended for faster speeds)
- A Windows 11 computer
- Asahi Linux official ISO image
- Rufus (free burning tool)
- Visit the Asahi Linux official website and download the latest ISO image.
- Go to the Rufus official website to download the latest version (green free installation).
- Insert the USB flash drive (note that the data on the USB flash drive will be cleared).
- Open Rufus and select the Asahi Linux ISO image you just downloaded.
- Select GPT as the partition type and UEFI as the target system (M1 Mac requires UEFI).
- Click Start and wait for Rufus to finish writing.
- Once completed, you can use this USB flash drive to install Asahi Linux on your M1 Mac!
Hold down the Option (⌥) key when starting your Mac and select the USB drive to boot into the installation interface.
If you want to create an Asahi bootable USB, Rufus is a recommended tool that supports multiple formats and can ensure that the ISO image is written completely to the USB drive, allowing you to install Asahi Linux smoothly!
