CPU goes to 100% even just after restart
The CPU goes to 100% and the fan spins very fast. This happens from time to time even the laptop just restarted and no program was opened.
If your CPU hits 100% usage after a restart with no apps open, it could be due to background tasks like Windows updates or malware. Check Task Manager to identify the process causing the spike and run a malware scan to rule out security issues.

Does this happen regularly? I had the same issue when a new update is available for install.

If your CPU goes to 100% usage right after a restart, try these steps:
- Check Task Manager: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, go to the Processes tab, and identify the process causing high CPU usage.
- Disable Startup Programs: Open Task Manager > Startup, disable unnecessary programs, and restart.
- Scan for Malware: Run a full system scan with Windows Defender or another trusted antivirus tool.
- Update Drivers: Ensure all drivers are up to date, especially for the CPU and chipset.

Hello,
- Disable all startup apps in task manager that you do not need or do not need to be started after a restart.
- Check if you have 2 AV's (Microsoft + 3th party) this can cause resources eating during restart
- Check if all latest firmware and Drivers are installed on you device.

The CPU reaching 100% usage and causing the fan to spin rapidly, even after a restart with no programs opened, could indicate background processes or system tasks consuming resources, such as updates or malware scans. Checking the Task Manager for high-resource processes and ensuring the system is free of malware may help resolve the issue.

Some background processes or services may be causing high CPU usage. Windows itself can run various tasks after a reboot that may temporarily spike CPU usage, such as updates or indexing.
