Can't Upgrade But I meet Criteria
I meet all of the criteria to upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10. My processor is listed as supported. But, I when I do a PC Health Check it gives me this message:
The Processor isn't currently supported for Windows 11
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K CPU at 4.00 GHz
The remainder is all ok.
My system is:
Dell XPS 8900
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K CPU at 4.00 GHz 4.01GHz
Ram: 16.0 GB
64 Bit
Windows 10 Pro
Version: 21H2
Build: 19044.1348
What can I do? Your help is greatly appreciated.
- Hello,
Unfortunately, i7-6700K processor is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft.
Please check with official Windows 11 list of supported processors:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors
You can drop a feedback to Microsoft about this, using Feedback hub app.
Regards.
