Upgrading directly from Windows 7 to Windows 11 isn't officially supported by Microsoft, but you can still achieve it with a clean installation. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Backup Your Data
Save files to an external drive or cloud storage and note down software licenses (Office, Adobe, etc.).
Step 2: Create a Windows 11 Bootable USB
Download Windows 11 Media Creation Tool. Run the tool and make a bootable USB with it.
Step 3: Boot from USB & Install Windows 11
- Restart PC and enter Boot Menu (usually F12, ESC, F2, or DEL).
- Select the USB drive.
- Follow setup, delete old partitions, and install on unallocated space.
- Skip product key entry (Windows 7 key might work, but not guaranteed).
Step 4: Post-Installation Setup
Install drivers (Windows Update or manufacturer’s website). And restore your persoanl files.
This is a fair simple way to let you upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 7. Let me know if you need more help.
