Can I change the built-in file explorer like this?
I really like the fact that i can change the default explorer to something else.

Same. For me it's actually noticeably slow.

You can also associate certain file types to open in your new file explorer by right-clicking a file type, selecting "Open with," and choosing the new application.

If your file manager does not provide an option to set itself as the default file explorer, you can use the Windows Registry to change the default. Note: Be cautious when using the Registry Editor, as incorrect changes can lead to system instability.
