"Boot Device Not Found" - Then Blank Screen

Received the blue box “Boot Device Not Found…” It has happened previously. Typically, a forced shutdown and reboot fixes the problem. Yesterday the blue box error message appeared again. The F2 diagnostics seemed to be fine. Upon a forced shutdown and reboot, no luck with rebooting. The screen remained blank. Various attempts were made to access the bios (e.g., reboot – tap F2, F8, F9, F10, Esc, etc. and press and hold Win Key+Cntl+B upon start up, forced shutdown several times, hold button for various amounts of time, and various other combinations, but to no avail. Any thoughts or advice?

If you’re comfortable doing so, open your computer (desktop or laptop) and physically check if the hard drive is securely connected. Sometimes, loose connections can lead to these errors.
