Audio glitch on HP EliteBook 840 G8 Notebook PC (19X35AV)
Stelios24 I know how this feels.
Since it happens when you put heavy load on it and when the battery is low, it's probably your laptop. So, only a little glitch or deformation of the sound, every few minutes, right? What programs do you run on it when this happens? Also, could you tell me the specs of your laptop? I'll be waiting, and I hope I can help! Thanks for reaching out! ![]()

KidFeedbackers2 Thank you for your reply. The glitch is instantaneous. But I am a musician and it's ruining my recordings. Maybe I can record the glitch if you want. I could trigger the glitch with heavy load before resetting it. I hear the glitch with any program....browsers, spotify, media player, reaper (Digital audio workstation).

It looks like a fine set of computer components, that should work just fine for a musician! Maybe you can try running the Audio Troubleshooter (if you are still on Windows, not Kali Linux), by going into Settings (System> Troubleshoot> Other Troubleshooters> Audio, and hit "Run", and a troubleshooter should open.) How old is your laptop? I believe it could make a difference. I hope this helps, Have a great day!

- Stelios24Jan 23, 2024Copper ContributorMy laptop is still in warranty...from 2021 to 2025. I have already run windows troubleshooters and hp troubleshooters. They cannot find anything. I am surprised that I haven't read of a similar case in forums. Maybe it's because of the instantaneous glitch happening between several minutes that does not bother the average user...
