Apps cant hear me but my computer can?
Hi,
I cant get my mic input to send to apps such as chrome, discord etc. I recently got my mic to finally be registered by my windows by turning off audio enhancements in Control Panel however after finally hearing my own voice coming from my laptop i checked if it was working with other apps such as discord. Much to my dismay it didnt. I have checked app sound in system>sound>volume mixer and they all show up and are correct. I then looked in recent activity for my mic and it doesnt show any of the apps accessing the mic and the apps dont show up for selection when it comes to permissions. Is this a windows problem or an app problem? Also the mic works with other windows apps like the camera (with the video recording)
I might be being dumb but i checked everything i could think of
Thanks in advance

It’s super important to check if your microphone is set as the default input device. Right-click the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of your taskbar, select Sounds, then go to the Recording tab. Find your mic, right-click it, and choose Set as Default Device.
