Applications Crashing or Not Responding. Why?
Several applications on my Windows PC keep crashing or becoming unresponsive, and I cannot figure out why this is happening. What are the common causes of apps freezing or crashing, and how can I troubleshoot and fix this issue?

Apps that keep crashing or freezing on Windows are commonly caused by outdated software, insufficient memory, corrupted files, driver problems, or a failing drive.
Try these fixes in order
Restart your PC to clear temporary issues.
Update Windows and your apps: Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates.
Close unnecessary apps using Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to free up memory.
Repair the affected app: Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps → select the app → Advanced options → Repair, if available.
Check for system errors: Open Command Prompt as administrator and run:
sfc /scannow
Check storage and drivers: Ensure your system drive has free space and update graphics and other device drivers from trusted sources.
If several apps keep crashing, back up important files and check drive health and Windows memory usage.
To narrow down the cause
Do all apps crash, or only specific ones? And are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
