After upgrading to 24H2, a location acquisition process appeared in the lower right corner.
My laptop runs Windows 11, and after updating to version 24H2, an unknown process keeps popping up in the bottom right corner of the screen, saying it's getting network location info. I haven't found any similar cases online. Can you help me figure out how to troubleshoot and shut down this process?

This is a new and noticeable feature introduced in Windows 11 version 24H2, and it's understandably confusing if you weren't expecting it.
That pop-up you're seeing in the lower-right corner is the new "Location Acquisition" (or "Location Usage") indicator. It's part of Microsoft's ongoing effort to improve privacy and transparency, similar to how mobile phones have long had icons that show when an app is using your camera, microphone, or location.
