After updating to Windows 11, the laptop boots into an endless black screen loop.

After installing the Windows 11 update and restarting, the Alienware laptop displays a completely blank screen (total blackout) at startup, with only the keyboard indicator lights active. After a period of time, the computer automatically restarts and enters an infinite loop of black screen, unable to bring up any interface (including Startup Repair, Safe Mode, etc.).

If you can get ctrl-alt-delete to work, start task manager and try stopping and restarting explorer.exe.  I had a similar problem and this eventually returned my desktop and I was able uninstall the problematic update.

Force shutdown your laptop 3 times during startup (power off as soon as the Windows logo appears) to trigger Automatic Repair. When the "Automatic Repair" screen appears, select Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart. After restart, press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
