After my PC wakes up the monitor from sleep it will not accept inputs from the USB mouse or keyboard. I have to ctrl/alt/del to get the Task Manager up, then press the esc key and keyboard and mouse...
Try to update the graphics card driver and disable the USB selective suspend setting.
