3 Displays showing when only 2 monitors connected?

First time on windows 11, having the issue of 3 displays showing when only 2 physically connected...dont even own a third.. finally figured out how to disable the 3rd the option did not show many times when i tired, it finally did after restarting pc...but now i can change the refresh rate on my 1st monitor...why?

    If you're using an NVIDIA or AMD card, try accessing their control panel. These often have more advanced settings that can allow you to adjust the refresh rate.

    Windows can sometimes recognize nonexistent monitors, possibly due to leftover settings from a previous setup or a glitch. This is why you were able to disable the phantom display only after a restart.

  • Update your GPU driver cause Microsoft Basic Display Adapter looks like basic microsoft one.

    Faced same issue and I fixed it by installing the latest video drivers directly from the manufacturer website (Lenovo) in my case.
