Your device is missing important security and quality fixes.

I experienced a very similar issue on Windows 10 22H2 Consumer ESU, and I was able to reproduce it on a freshly installed system.

In my case, the August 2026 cumulative update KB5120249 was successfully installed and the system reached OS build 19045.7663. The August 2026 .NET Framework update KB5121647 was also successfully installed. DISM and SFC both reported no corruption, and the built-in ESU enrollment wizard explicitly confirmed that the device was already enrolled and receiving Extended Security Updates.

Despite that, Windows Update continued to display “Your device is missing important security and quality fixes.”

One particularly interesting finding was that the WaaSAssessment data itself reported the installed build 10.0.19045.7663 as up to date, while the Windows Update UI continued to report the warning.

The workaround appears to involve refreshing the WaaSAssessment state, but I am not presenting the registry procedure as an officially supported Microsoft fix. I am sharing the finding so that Microsoft and other affected users can investigate the underlying status mismatch.
