Windows Explorer sometimes freeze when opening a folder

Windows Explorer intermittently becomes unresponsive or freezes whenever I attempt to open certain folders, and this happens even though my system appears to be functioning normally otherwise. The issue forces me to restart Explorer via Task Manager to regain functionality, and I would like to understand what triggers this freezing behavior and how to prevent it from happening so frequently.

Restart your PC. If Explorer is stable, a third-party service was the cause. Re-enable the disabled services and startup items one by one, restarting after each, until you find the one that triggers the freeze again.
