windows 11 update for windows 10 s mode

I have a windows 10, I didn't switch out of the S mode

my windows 10 meets the requirements but once I try to download windows 11 it tells me that if I wanna take that action I'd have to switch out of the S mode 

do I have to switch out of the S mode to download it? if so, can I have the steps?
