Windows 11 stuck restarting

Windows 11 system where it gets stuck during the restart process. After selecting the restart option, hangs on a loading symbol for an extended period, preventing me from successfully rebooting my computer.

    any updates on this ?

Brand new windows 11 machine.    Doing windows updates.  Stuck in the "Restarting" loop.

Yes, I have forced shutdown and restarted windows.    Goes 'Updating" then back into the restart loop of death.

    Suggestions ?

    Force shut down and restart.

Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds to force shut down the PC.

Wait for a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart the system. Sometimes, this can break the restart loop.

Before attempting any of these steps, especially those involving system restores or resets, back up your important data. Use an external hard drive, cloud storage, or another reliable backup method. Data loss is a risk.

Hey I got the same issue, I had left it on sleep from the day before.

In the morning I woke it up from sleep mode, then restarted it after 5 min just to get all the apps I manually closed to reopen on restart.

then got stuck on the restart of doom, so far it’s been 15-20min..

I usually let it sort itself out rather than a hard power off.

While it’s been stuck on this screen I opened the lid & disconnected all cables (USB C Dock & wireless key/mou receiver).

Give the restart process some time to complete. It might take longer than usual due to a variety of reasons such as disk checks, system updates, or other background processes.

That loading icon screams that A, you've been monkeying with Windows, or B, the photo is fake. đź’€

A REAL loading icon looks like the attached gif.

I recommend providing a real, accurate photo of what's happening so that professionals can at least have an easier time identifying the issue. 👍

If you can’t access Safe Mode, you might need to go through Windows Recovery:

Access the recovery options by turning off your computer and then turning it back on again. Repeat this two or three times, and it should take you into the Windows Recovery Environment.
Once there, navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair. This can help fix any issues that are causing problems during the boot process.
