Windows 10 and second display

Whenever I boot up and have my 2nd display attached to my Microsoft Pro 7, the default display is not my computer.  I invariably cannot find my mouse because it is wandering around at the other display which is not turned on.  How do I change the default to my computer screen as opposed to the attached display?

  • Hello,

Try pressing Windows + P keys and select PC Screen only or Disconnect option.

Then you can select Extend, if you want to use second display along with original display.

    Hope this answers your query!

KapilArya Thanks.  Cool shortcut.  That will certainly save from opening settings and then display, etc.  I still wonder why the default is "extend screen.  I guess it is a Windows mystery!
