In UEFI mode, your drive needs to be partitioned with a GPT (GUID Partition Table) instead of MBR (Master Boot Record), and the Windows installation must be prepared accordingly. If the drive was previously formatted with MBR, the system won't recognize it as bootable under UEFI.
