Tip: Start recording on Windows 10 with WIN + Shift + R shortcut
- How to use: Press the “WIN” key, “Shift” key and “R” key at the same time to start recording the screen.
What to record: This function can record all the activities on the screen, including opening programs, browsing the web, etc.
Storage Location: Recorded videos are usually saved in the “C:\Users\YourUsername\Videos\Captures” folder.
Limitations: This function may not support recording audio input, depending on the system configuration and settings. You can start recording by clicking on the recording button or using the shortcut WIN + Alt + R to start and stop the recording.

Go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar and make sure it's turned on.
- EliaspefoCopper ContributorThe Xbox Game Bar is primarily aimed at recording gameplay, but it can also be used to record other screen activities. However, some applications (like File Explorer or desktop widgets) may have limitations.
- EventfronCopper ContributorEnsure that the Game Bar feature is enabled. Go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar and toggle on "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game Bar."

Yeah, it is enough and convenient for basic recording. However, it could be better to add the editing tool after saving the video.

If you have a specific application open that you want to record, make sure that application is active when you press these shortcuts. The Xbox Game Bar allows you to record gameplay and other applications easily.
