How to Recover Permanently Deleted Photos on Windows 10?

I need help recovering some permanently deleted photos on my Windows 10 computer. I accidentally deleted them from the Recycle Bin, and I don't have any backups available. These photos are really important to me, and I'm hoping there's a way to get them back.

I've heard there might be software or methods to recover deleted deleted photos on Windows 10, but I'm not sure where to start. Can anyone recommend effective tools or provide a step-by-step guide on how to recover these photos?

  • Before rushing to use any data recovery tools, you should first consider whether it's possible to recover deleted files from your PC. Several factors affect the chances of successful recovery, such as whether the old data has been overwritten, the health of your disk, and others.

Not sure where to start? I know you've already checked the backups, but I still recommend reviewing all your storage devices and cloud storage once more. Using backups is always the easiest and safest way for recover your data.

Xavierao To recover permanently deleted photos on Windows 10 from OneDrive, first check the Recycle Bin on your OneDrive account. Deleted items remain in the Recycle Bin for 30 days by default. Log into your OneDrive account through a web browser, navigate to the Recycle Bin on the left panel, and restore the deleted photos if they are still available.

As I know. Using file history is an excellent way to recover deleted photos from Windows 10 PC. Steps are as follows:

    1. Go to the Settings app on your Windows 10 computer.
    2. Click on the "Update & Security" option.
    3. Select "Backup" from the left sidebar.
    4. Click on "More options" under "Backup using File History".
    5. Check the box next to "Turn on system image backups".
      Click "Save changes".

This will enable File History, which will start creating backups of your files, including your photos, at regular intervals.

Be cautious when using data recovery software, as it may overwrite your deleted files if you write new data to the same location. Try to avoid using your computer until you've recovered deleted photos on Windows 10, as this can increase the chances of overwriting them.

If you use OneDrive, it is possible to recover permanently deleted photos on Windows 10! OneDrive saves historical versions of files, so you can try to recover previously deleted photos. Just log in to the OneDrive website, find the folder where the photos are stored, and check the "Version History" to see if there is an older version you need. This feature is very useful, especially if you accidentally delete a file. I hope this helps you!

    Simple steps below:

    1. Open a browser, visit the OneDrive website (https://onedrive.live.com/login/ ) and log in to your account.
    2. Find the folder where your photos are stored in the OneDrive file list.
    3. Select the file or folder you want to recover, right-click or view options, and then select "Version History". This will show the different saved versions of the file.
    4. Find the version before you deleted it in the version history, and click the "Restore" button next to it to restore to that version.

With these steps, you should be able to recover photos that you accidentally deleted on OneDrive. I hope this method helps you!

If the data is very important to you, you can consider seeking professional data recovery services, they usually have more advanced tools and techniques to recover deleted photos from Windows 10. At the same time, do not use your hard drive again to avoid data being overwritten, which will make it even more irrecoverable!

Recovering permanently deleted photos on Windows 10 can be challenging, but it's often possible with the right tools and methods. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you recover your photos:

    1. Stop Using the Drive:

    • To increase the chances of recovery, immediately stop using the drive where the photos were stored. This will prevent new data from overwriting the deleted files.

    2. Use Data Recovery Software:

    • You can use data recovery software to scan your drive for deleted files and attempt to recover deleted photos from SD card, USB drive, etc.

I accidentally deleted 8-10 YEARS of photos(shortcut files/photos), pics, data, etc. from OneDrive menu on 10/24/24. Somehow or ???, YEARS of ALL desktop/documents dated photos, files were inadvertantly put into OneDrive menu with ONLY (2) dates backing them up, 10/23/24 - 10/24/24! How this even happened, I don't know, but with (2) clicks ONLY almost ALL my photos, files as described above were deleted! Sinc that time, I 'TRIED Recu.. & E...US Data Wizard' (got back 83,000+ & 930,000+ files of UNOPENABLE 'junk' that could not be used including 1000's of 'gears/bits/pieces/microsoft-windows garbage of an ubsurd amount ALL corrupted with shortcut photos that can't be opened 'because they were moved or permanently deleted, as it say's'. NO **bleep** Sherlock!!! Windows/Microsoft been of absolutely ZERO help with REPEATED attempts to initialize earlier recovery dates going back before deletions! Keep coming back stating recover(ies) 'successful', BUT can't OPEN even ONE whited out thumbnail/file or photo particularly because: this shortcut has been moved(NO **bleep**! They were moved to the recycle bin & discarded BEFORE I realized my ENTIRE desktop/documents folder was totally wiped out with 1-2 clicks!) WHY do you ALLOW this to HAPPEN, is my question & HOW CAN I GET BACK what I know is HIDING in my Windows 10 pc??? Is there a MINI software that can override the B.S. with approximately 1200-1500 photos, files, etc. ( NOT 1 MILLION bits/pieces of garbage I CAN'T USE, but dated 'CLEAR PHOTOS that have been on my pc for 8 to 10 YEARS' before this happened ??? I suspect Windows started this entire MESS in the 1st place, as I was having 5-6 days of 'update' google chrome webbrowser problems prior to 10/24/24 because Microhard wants you to USE Windows Explorer as 'THEIR' webbrowser! Kept getting Yahoo interferance pop-ups as my browser! Finally cleared THAT up & then this deletion episode! I hate Microsoft ... as soon as this is cleared up ('IF' Microsoft CAN give ANY HELP, which it HAS NOT as of now), I'm going BACK to Lenix ASAP!!! Going on 3 weeks of total b.s.!!! Is there a RELIABLE, COMPETENT software out there that really works that MicroHard CAN'T?????
