How to Completely Disable the Virtual Desktop Feature in Windows 10/11
Frequent accidental presses of keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Win+Ctrl+Left/Right) trigger virtual desktops during gameplay, causing forced screen switching. You may need to completely disable the multi-desktop feature or modify/block the relevant shortcut keys.
Have a pleasant day.

You can manually delete extra virtual desktops via Task View (Win+Tab), leaving only one, but this doesn't prevent accidental switches.

If you still want to use virtual desktops but avoid accidental switches during gameplay, you might want to check out Desktop Switcher. Instead of relying on keyboard shortcuts, it lets you switch desktops with your mouse (move to the bottom of screen and scroll). This way, you can keep virtual desktops enabled for productivity but won't accidentally trigger them during gaming. Available on GitHub at pmb6tz/windows-desktop-switcher.
