Audio Enhancements, where did it go?

Every time there is a cumulative update I have to go into my sounds settings and disable "Audio Enhancements" so I can use my microphone they way I want to use it, however after the latest update, that setting seems to be missing. Where did it go?

It disappeared again today right after I finished installing "2025-05 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10"

    Via Legacy Sound Control Panel

    1. Press Win + R, type control mmsys.cpl sounds and hit Enter
    2. Go to the Playback tab → Right-click your audio device → Properties
    3. Check for an "Enhancements" tab (may be hidden if Microsoft removed it)

If missing, try the "Advanced" tab for any related settings

If the Enhancements tab is missing, it usually indicates the driver or device doesn't support enhancements anymore, or Windows has disabled the feature.

With recent updates, Windows may have moved the enhancements into different settings or disabled them to improve compatibility or performance.
