Troubleshooting

Reasons why age and tenure buckets may not be populating?

The main error message we are experiencing is: The following attribute/attributes 'status' are in file but is not configured in Glint. If this is a new attribute, use the self-serve feature in Glint by navigating to Settings -> Configure -> People and add new attributes or email support.

We have checked and there is no status field outside the required attribute in our file. When i deleted our status field the error stopped but i also couldnt upload still as its a required field. I dont know if this is cause of buckets failing or something else?

thanks

Here are two recommendations for how to resolve this issue:

We suggest using an Excel file rather than a .csv if this occurs.
Please review the and remind the names of the attributes to be sure they match exactly what is in the schema. Keep in mind the system is case and space sensitive.

  • Hi Emma, You can upload files in both formats. There may be a problem with the file, for example: formulas, or extra tabs, or maybe it is not in the correct Excel format. I suggest copying the file into a new excel file to try that.
  • Hi Emma! I'm looking into this and will come back to you with an answer as soon as I can.

Thanks ive reviewed the status column multiple times and retyped etc to ensure no spaces or typos.

Can you switch to XLSX file after uploading via CSV? I get the error "File is in an unexpected format. Expecting xlsx file format. Check to see if the file passed is a xlsx file with no formulas and no additional sheets" and even though it is a XLSX file with solely text format and no extra sheets.
