Universal Print Billing
We have used up all the included print jobs for the month. However, the reports page shows that more jobs have been printed than included in the pool:
So, how is that possible? I thought that printing will stop once the pool is exhausted. How are these 4 jobs actually "billed"?
- Hi Yordan, this is Rachelle here from the Universal Print team. What nclinch has said above is exactly how Universal Print works. If you go over the amount of print jobs included in the pool, you will still be able to print. If this is something that is happening often, I would suggest you purchase additional print volume for Universal Print. They come in packs of 500 and 10,000. You can find the details here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/universal-print/fundamentals/universal-print-license#additional-print-volume

Hi Rachelle, just wanted to confirm that the excess printed Billed Jobs would be billed or it will adjust in next month cycle?
- Yordan_YordanovBrass Contributornclinch and Rachelle, thanks for your responses, I seem to have missed the notification. This answers my question.
- nclinchIron ContributorYes this is how it works... you can continue to print once the Print capacity is used up but you will need to true up with Microsoft later. This is a good thing if you don't want an interruption in production.
We have E5 licenses which included Universal Print. Each license we have is entitled to 5 print jobs per month (This is pooled together). If bob and Sally both have an E5 license and Bob prints 8 jobs and Sally prints 1. you still have 1 print job remaining that either one of them can use.
