Print jobs are upsidedown, and low toner warning stops printing with Canon MFP using Universal Print
We have a Canon C5840i MFP and we are using it's built-in support for Microsoft Universal Print. Two major issues...
1. All print jobs come out upside down on the output tray (no big deal, until you need to staple)
(I'm aware of the known issue re long edge first printing, but I don't think this is the same issue - and don't all large MFPs use long edge first??)
2. The printer now has a "Low Toner" warning - and "printer status = Warning" in the Azure UP portal. Ever since this warning status started, print jobs now queue on local devices. We can get a single job to print if we restart the local "printer spooler" service on the device - but this only works for a single job. Other UP printers on the same device work fine. The low toner warns at 40% remianing so there is no good reason for the warning to stop jobs from printing - assuming the warning status is the reason.
Also, are Microsoft ending Universal Print already? no new release notes or API changes for all of 2023?? Also no activity from Jimmy_Wu in 2023, see links below...
