Send chat message with attachment in teams channel

Since this issue has been around for a long time

    Nivedipa-MSFT , Do you have any update on the same?
    Now when I checked recently, on clicking in the file attachment in chat. The document is opened in the respective Desktop Applications when running the app from Microsoft Edge. However, the document is downloaded incase of other browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox.
