Connecting and pulling data from an API designed for CQD v3

We have been practicing with the power BI templates for Microsoft Teams; they are very useful.

We would like to tap into similar data (Cube, dimensions and measurements etc.) remotely by using a scripting language. Can someone point us to the right direction for pulling CQDv3 data periodically. Is Data API used for this purpose? If not, is there any API available for it? if exists, where can we find the specs for that API.
