Does hub allow for synchronized white boarding?
We currently use onenote for our meeting but don't have a surface hub. One of the things that is lacking for us is how slow the synchronization of content is in a onenote meeting.
Does the surface hub have a fast sync so people can white board in near realtime on the same whiteboard? If so, do all participants need the hub?
This is the most common user feedback.. Today there are no capabilities within the whiteboard to do CO-Annontation. However there are several great apps in the store that provide this fucntionality (Mural, headcandy, Stormboard, collaboard) along with a great html 5 app from www.limnu.com ... Co-Annontation is also a top priority in the feature list.

- Check out Stormboard - allows users of Windows and the Surface Hub to work together on the same shared workspace.
I mentioned Stormboard, amongst a few others in my previous comments.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be getting any traction. I'm not sure if this is the Surface Hub group thinking that Skype for Business will develop this capability more, and they'll tackle it once they're done. Or if they feel they need Skype for Business to be the solution, not the Surface Hub piece on it's own.
Either way, we need to know Microsoft's roadmap (regardless of siloed product groups) of how a collaborative space like this is going to move forward - not unique to a) skype for business whiteboard b) surface hub whiteboard or c) a full tilt client of OneNote whiteboard that would be collaborative and same capabilities (and colloboratively viewed/synced) at the same time.
Every time I hear this question or a request for feature come up, Microsoft rep(s) confirm that it is the most asked-for feature, but no action seems to be coming up. Can we get a response and some traction on this please, MS?
- Have a look at a solution called Stormboard. It has a Surface Hub app as well as for Windows 10 which allows users to do more than just whiteboarding in a shared space. A fantastic and very cost-effective solution to add on top of Surface Hub.

It is the most commonly requested of all features but not even on the hozion yet. We have had dual inking while in Whiteboard requests and fed them back since Nov 15.
- Ruben KerteszIron ContributorI was reading up on office 365 news and saw that MS is working on onenote collaboration https://www.google.com/amp/www.techrepublic.com/google-amp/article/five-office-365-features-on-the-horizon-for-2017/
Then I learned a little bit about the classroom tools for onenote. It says that students can interact in real time. I wonder what that means I'm terms of sync speed. I also found this article about a REALTIME collaborative whiteboard from Microsoft which is intended for classrooms but may also work for business: https://www.google.com/amp/s/mspoweruser.com/microsofts-whiteboard-app-teachers-students-show-windows-store/amp/
Thoughts? Anybody more knowledgeable about this?- Phill RuffellCopper Contributor
I installed this on my Surface Pro 4 when it was released but it never worked despite reinstalling. Just a black screen with 0.0.0.0 in white.
It seems like a good solution and I'd be interested to see if anyone has it working.

I use Connect to mirror a Surface Pro for this. This allows control of the Surface from the Hub and you can still use the pens. Not ideal as you need a separate device but it works.
