Able to use wireless headset with SfB Mac?

I was told the information below by tech support...

The behavior you are seeing with Skype for Business is actually expected.  Microsoft does not offer remote call control with Skype for Business for Macs currently, once they do I am sure we will support that.

The Skype entry you see on the Mac Suite from Jabra actually refers to the consumer version of Skype (which does support call control), but that is why it says it is not running.

Is this true? Any wireless headset will not work with Skype for Business on the mac?

This is what I sent to tech support: I updated to Sierra (10.12.3) so I could use Skype for Business for Mac. When I have Skype running, I can’t pick up a call or make a call and if I have Jabra Suite for Mac open, it tells me that Skype is not running. I was able to connect it to my cell phone, however, I am unable to place a call at all. My iPhone will consistently give me call failed until I not only disconnect, but “forget this device”. (iPhone 6, iOS 10.2)

Hi Rachel.  It is correct that SFB Mac does not support the buttons on the USB device to make call or hang up.  We are working on adding the support and on more device.  What Jabra device are you using?
