Why are the total points in Microsoft Learn different on profile page?
The points I see when I am studying a module and the points on my profile page are different.

hi akb1985 This is actually common and usually nothing to worry about. The points shown inside a module vs. on your profile in Microsoft Learn can differ for a few reasons:
Sync delay: Module completion points often update immediately in the learning UI, but your profile total can take some time to refresh.
Rounding / display logic: Module pages sometimes show potential or session points, while the profile shows only fully credited totals.
Duplicate or repeated modules: If you retake a module, the module page may show points again, but your profile usually counts it once.
Service caching: Profile stats are cached for performance, so they don’t always reflect real-time changes.
What you can try
Refresh your profile after a few minutes
Sign out and back in
Check again after a few hours (sync jobs usually catch up)
If the difference persists after a day, it could be a backend sync issue, and it’s worth reporting via Learn support.
In most cases though, it resolves on its own once the profile sync completes.

Thank you for your response, Surya_Narayana. Following is a screenshot from a module when I am reading through a unit:
And following is the screenshot from my profile page:
The difference is 3x more in profile page.
I recently noticed the difference. So cannot confirm if it is recent or has always been there and I failed to notice.
