Syntex suddenly unable to process pdf files.
We are having issues with Microsoft prebuilt and custom models processing any document types. We get this error:
The applied models can't process this type of file.
These models were working fine for over a year.

1. Check the PDF file:
Make sure the PDF file is not encrypted or password protected.
Try converting the PDF file to plain text or an image and re-uploading it.
2. Verify Syntex model:
Check that the Syntex model is trained on the PDF file.
Retrain the model to ensure it contains enough PDF samples.
3. Check Service Status: Visit Microsoft 365 Service Status to verify that the Syntex service is running properly.
4. Check Permissions and Settings: Ensure that users have permission to access Syntex.
Check the SharePoint Document Library settings to make sure Syntex is enabled.
6. Update the system: Make sure SharePoint and Syntex are updated to the latest version.
7. If the issue is still not resolved, submit a support request through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.- Jcook1095Copper Contributor
Finally, Microsoft admitted to having a build issue on their side after several other orgs had this same issue. It has since been resolved.
Only replying to this for anyone else who comes here in the future. Please don't fall for these ChatGPT responses like this one.
Points 1,2,4: My models worked on these same documents for over a year with zero changes made to the documents or my environment. Why anyone need to do any of this?
Point 6: What? It's an O365 service...you can't update it.
Points 3,7: After fighting them through 7 about 3, they finally caved, admitted issue was on their side and fixed it.
