What's the difference between Current Search Results and Classic Search Results

I'm seeing inconsistencies between the new SharePoint home page search results and results shown from the Classic Search results.

How are these two different and where can I go to learn more?

It depents the scope and result sources selected to show the results. When you say classic search, do you mean Enterprise Search Center?

Check this article about Result Sources.

Anji Yarli By classic search results I mean when you search from the main SharePoint search and you click the bottom link that says "Go to classic results page".

As a simple example: I have a stock photos site/library with a coupleo of images that use a managed metadata column and term set to describe images. One of the terms is scenery and I have at least a few images tagged with this keyword. If I open up both the new sharepoint homepage and the classic search results page and do a search for 'scenery' on both pages on the classic search results page comes back with the results I'm looking for. The SharePoint home page search comes back with nothing.
