web page analytics

How can we gather analytics about clicks on images in the hero web part as well as the news posts in modern sites?

    The new SharePoint update with the "Hover Card" will have that info. at least for pages, hero webpart is just a URL so really can't track that without some form of script on the page that is tagging the url's like google analytics or something.

      Or you had a click tracking server that you send URL's too, then they redirect back to SharePoint resource or whatever resource you link too
