Why did Microsoft deprecate web analytics in SharePoint online?

- Now the SharePoint framework has reached RC0, you can utilize the "Top" placeholder to add page tracking using Application Insights (example on Git hub) or google analytics. This will work for modern sites as well as communication sites.

While I think we can both agree that analytics in SharePoint Online are subpar, there are still many options for reporting in SharePoint Online.
