Why did Microsoft deprecate web analytics in SharePoint online?

- Alan MarshallSteel ContributorNow the SharePoint framework has reached RC0, you can utilize the "Top" placeholder to add page tracking using Application Insights (example on Git hub) or google analytics. This will work for modern sites as well as communication sites.

While I think we can both agree that analytics in SharePoint Online are subpar, there are still many options for reporting in SharePoint Online.
Have you considered a third party analytics solution for your SharePoint portal?
