"We couldn't find any results for" issue when searchig existing item in SharePoint list
- Brent_SiplSep 05, 2024Copper ContributorBy the way, specifically I'm searching on a shared OneDrive folder. It happens for only one user in the tenant, as far as I've heard. But still, I can't find "list advanced settings" and I've searched the web for that and "resetting the index" for OneDrive on the web and can only find unanswered posts of other people unable to do the same thing. Can you please break it down, with steps to get to that setting?

Brent_Sipl That was for SharePoint but since OneDrive is SharePoint you can still do the same thing. You'll have to go through a bunch of clicks to get to the setting. in OneDrive click the cog setting wheel in top right. Then OneDrive Settings. Then on left More settings. Then under that is "Return to the old Site settings page" link.
In that under Site Administration click Site libraries and lists. Then customize "Documents", assuming that's what you are talking about is someone's OneDrive. Then under Advanced Settings link you'll find the "reindex" button.
If that doesn't work after a few hours, then I would look into the user account having the issue. Are they a full licensed user just like everyone else etc.? I'd reshare the folder directly with the user, and give it some time to see if there is something permission wise. Maybe they can access it, but maybe just through a link and it never got assigned direct permissions or something odd there.

They are a full licensed user (Standard), and it has been working on these same shares for a year until yesterday. I reshared one of the shares, and we get search results, but the "Switch view options" drop down is still missing, and it doesn't search through subfolders like it does for other users. It looks like an interface change, but I don't see why they would break functionality.
