Visitor Permissions on a library
Hello,
I am trying to have a group on a specific Document library, a visitor groups.
But I wonder:
Does this group have to be linked also to the subsite above , and the site above all?
I mean:
Site
SubSite
Document Library ( VisitorsCustomGroup )
The idea is that that group can only view the documents within that library.

no you can break the permissions. Just navigate to the library settings and choose "Permissions for this document library" --> "Stop inheriting Permissions
Now you can choose your own rights management for just this library

- Thanks a lot. I knew about Stopping inherited Permissions but I thought the user couldn't get through the subsite to reach only that library withour permissions on the subsite. Thanks!
